Ortho-K cost depends on the clinic’s fitting package, lenses and follow-up terms. A first-year quote cannot be compared fairly with a lens-only price or a renewal fee. The published U.S. examples below show actual clinic terms, not a national average or a guaranteed price for your prescription.

The Glenview sum is arithmetic on two listed fees, not a promise of a complete first-year total. Its six-month follow-up period differs from Eye D Vision’s first-year coverage. Neither example establishes that every patient needs the same services or replacement schedule.
What to ask about the first-year package
Request an itemized written quote showing:
- Initial examination and corneal measurements: included or separately charged?
- Fitting, training, custom lenses and the number of lenses supplied.
- Follow-up visits: how many, for how long and what happens after the included period?
- Fit-related lens remakes: deadline, conditions and extra charges.
- Care solution, storage cases and other supplies.
- Lost, damaged or additional lenses, including whether a fee is per lens or per pair.

Renewal is not just the next pair of lenses
Continuing expenses can include monitoring appointments, replacement lenses and care supplies. Ask whether the renewal quote covers all three and whether any new measurements or refitting are extra. Do not assume follow-up becomes free after year one, or that the initial package repeats unchanged.
An annual replacement recommendation from one clinic is that clinic’s policy, not a universal lifespan for every Ortho-K lens. Budget additional loss or damage separately from planned replacement.
Insurance, FSA/HSA and financing
Routine vision coverage does not establish Ortho-K coverage. Confirm your exact plan, provider network and any specialty-lens conditions with the clinic and insurer. Do not subtract an assumed allowance from a posted price.
For U.S. FSA/HSA spending, confirm eligibility and reimbursement rules with your administrator. A potential tax benefit is separate from the clinic’s charge; financing also changes payment timing and may add costs. Ask for repayment terms rather than treating a monthly installment as the treatment’s full cost.
Cost comparisons do not determine suitability
The FDA describes Ortho-K as a specialty fitting procedure using lenses to temporarily change corneal curvature. An examination determines whether a particular design and prescribed schedule are appropriate. This price guide does not predict myopia-control outcomes, set prescription eligibility limits or choose between Ortho-K and surgery.
